The Two Lip Balms that Will Make You Love Lip Balm Again

Lip balm really was the gateway ‘makeup’ for every pre-pubescent, Lasenza-girl-wearing, mood-ring-loving girl. Besides the occasional kid obsessed with eating Lipsmackers like it was candy, lip balm was….. the bomb! But somewhere along the road, I (like I’m sure many others), started to loose interest in lip balms— with the exception of EOS’s one-hit-wonder bringing balm back to business. However, I never really enjoyed the texture of EOS that much and the only reason I got it was because everyone else had it and because it was shaped like a baby Kinder Surprise: And I L.O.V.E. Kinder Surprise (no shame there).

So, I know this post is a little shorter than normal, but I honestly think this is going to be a life changing experience for you. I found these two lip balms, one at Sephora, and one at this cute little boutique called Le Brow Bar in Montreal, and I cannot get enough. A little more on the expensive side but these sticks have way more product, like way more: They are fatties.

1- MYMATCHA All-Over Moisture Stick by cocokind

So, not only is this lip balm a lip balm, it is also an under eye balm, a dark circle corrector, a facial highlighter, a dry area treatment and much more. I wouldn’t use it on the body, just because it’s still pretty small and would really be a waste, but if you want to you totally can. Made with just 3 organic ingredients; coconut oil, beeswax, and matcha tea powder, the antioxidant rich matcha is good for evening skin, preventing and reversing signs of aging, calming acne and reducing puffiness ( which is why it is great for under the eyes). Hands down the best purchase this year so far, which says a lot cause lip balm is whatever for me normally.

2- Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter by SOL Janeira

I tried this one ’cause I am already obsessed with the Brazillian Bum Bum Cream made by the same company but 👏let👏 me👏tell👏you, I don’t know what this company is putting in their products but it smells like piña colada infused perfection, and not in that sickeningly sweet way most products do. The cupuaçu butter melts super quick and one swipe on the lips goes a long way. I gifted this to my mother for Christmas too and she swears by it. Only downside is this product is pretty expeeze for what it is but it is totally worth it.

Please, please, please ,do yourself a favour and head out to buy yourself these gems. You won’t regret it.
